July 28 Operation Gratitude Game
The Blast Camp Paintball Field is Holding a Benefit Game on July 29, 2007. All Entry Fees Will be Donated to “Operation Gratitude:” The Grass Roots Organization That Sends Care Packages to our Troops Overseas. On Sunday July 29, 2007, all are welcome to have a BLAST supporting their troops at the Blast Camp paintball field. Entry for the event is $20.00 per player. These entry fees will be donated to “Operation Gratitude.” Operation Gratitude is the all-volunteer organization that sends care packages and individually addressed letters to service members deployed in hostile regions. Since its inception in 2003, Operation Gratitude has shipped more than 211,000 care packages to American troops. The items within the packages are donated, but the postage must be covered through monetary donations. Each package costs between $10 and $15 to ship. For 2007, Operation Gratitude plans to mail more than 100,000 care packages. The cost for the postage alone is an estimated 1.1 million dollars. In 2003, Blast Camp donated $1,700.00 to the USO for “Operation Care Package.” We would like to double that donation with our 2007 benefit game. For additional information on Blast Camp contact Scott or visit www.blastcamp.com, and for more information on “Operation Gratitude” contact Carolyn Blasheck at 818.789.0123 or visit www.operationgratitude.com. How Games will be played: We will be playing large open group games, 20 to 30 minute games, with reinsertions. Using multiple fields. (mini big games).
